Interesting news stories are posted from a wide variety of sources, but mainly the Salt Lake City newspapers. Readers are encouraged to send us other stories for consideration. Watts Cookin’ makes comments within the story and those comments are bracketed with the WC logo.
Posts on the home page will be replaced by newer posts. The older posts will go directly into one or more of the categories listed above.
In the center column we keep the five most recent stories of interest and importance. The left column is reserved for letters-to-the-editor published in newspapers around the world. We think letters-to-the-editors are a very important aspect of democracy and we try to publish the best ones. The right column is set aside for commentary by other sources, newspapers, blogs, etc., including constructive views of those with different opinions. Occasionally an absurd letter or opinion is published just to emphasize the absurdity.
Watts Cookin’ is a regular column. We are looking for other regular columnists, and will consider other submissions. We do not pay for any posts. This is a voluntary blog and for now at least, we are not accepting advertising. We like our independence.
The visual of the day is updated whenever, and then archived. The Hats Off is a special place for our thanks to wonderful people in our lives and then archived.
The music list at the bottom of the page includes some of the best music in the world, and can be played from your computer. We only list a few on the front page, but there are many in the archives. Just click on one when you wake up, or when you exercise, or when you want a moment of peace. Having access readily to this great music will make you want to come to the page daily.
