Long Live the Uncomment
No CommentsWow!
LeBron really is King James. Long live the King!
His three-point shot, that won the playoff game by one-point, and had to be executed within one second (in other words, catch and shoot), will be one of the hundreds already recorded in the Shot of the Ages category.
The Magnificent Shot was great, and that is not over-using the most over-used word in the English language, but what puts it in the Memorable category was what he said and didn’t say in his post-game comments.
He said, referring to a critical error he made less than two-minutes earlier, “The ref made a great call. I definitely traveled. The shot gave me the opportunity to redeem myself with my teammates.” Wow! An NBA player publicly admitting that he traveled, and a superstar thinking he had to redeem himself with his teammates.
What he didn’t say, which is even more unusual in these days of nonsensical comments, was, “Thanks be to God.”
